Golf Breaks/Society/Golf Days Guidelines, Terms & Conditions

Here at Whitefield’s Golf Club and The Draycote Hotel we wish for your visit to be as enjoyable as possible, so these notes will help you plan your golf day / golf break and advice you of our requirements. There are additional terms of booking and important information printed on the booking form so we ask that you read those also. 

Availability

Tee times from Monday – Friday are generally flexible, however, on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays, there are restrictions and play will have to be after 11:00am.

Booking & Deposit 

Once you have received our information pack, you should contact us to check the availability of the date you require. You will need to complete and return the booking form with a non-refundable £10 deposit per person.  For our overnight packages, the deposit is £25 per person. This will confirm your booking and we shall proceed by booking tee times, food and rooms.  Once your form and deposit is received, we will send you a letter of confirmation.

Starting Times 

These will be arranged and finalised once you’re booking form and deposit is received. Please ensure that your members are ready to tee off at the agreed times.  Our starting times run at 8 minute intervals and we ask that all players tee off in good time. We accept no responsibility If you are late and miss your tee time. You will only be allowed to tee of at the next available time.

Final Numbers 

We need to confirm final numbers for golf and catering at least ten (10) working days before your visit and you will be charged for that number on the day if less. Exact numbers must be registered in the Pro Shop and Reception on the day, and where possible, a tee time sheet provided.

Final Payment 

We ask that your balance be paid on arrival at the reception desk in the hotel or day of departure if on a golf break. Golf only: please pay the balance at the golf shop.

Buggies 

Buggies are available and must be booked in advance. A buggy hire form must be filled and a deposit for each buggy needs to be paid before receiving the buggy key.                              

Play On The Day 

At Whitefield’s we expect members of visiting groups/societies to be reasonably competent golfers and it is therefore important that everyone is aware of the etiquette and rules of golf.  We also ask the following:

  1. Where possible, start your better golfers off first.

  2. Play will be from the yellow tees (men) and red tees (ladies) unless authorised by prior arrangement with the Secretary or Head Professional

  3. We recommend that you play Stableford, and if you can’t score any points, please pick up.

  4. Keep up with the group in front and allow quicker groups to play through.

  5. Please invite players through if you are delayed in searching for a lost ball.

  6. Please repair all divots and pitch marks.

  7. Keep all bags, buggies and trolleys away from the tees and greens.

  8. Speed of play is important so pay close attention to slow play on the day.

PLEASE NOTE YOU MAY BE ASKED TO PRODUCE YOUR HANDICAP CERTIFICATE WHILST PLAYING AT THE WHITEFIELDS GOLF CLUB.  FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN YOU BEING ASKED TO LEAVE THE COURSE.  THIS IS TO ENSURE STANDARD OF PLAY ON THE COURSE APPLIES WITH THE CLUB’S REQUIREMENTS.

Longest Drive / Nearest the Pin Markers 

We provide longest drive and nearest the pin markers as a complimentary service.  Please ask if you require these and we will have them ready on the day. 

Dress Code 

All players are expected to be properly attired whilst on the golf course.  Jeans, trainers, vest style T-shirts, track suits, football and rugby shirts, short shorts, and shirts without collars are not permitted.  Golf shoes and socks (plain white, black or navy) are required at all times and in hot weather, smart, tailored shorts will be permitted.  To avoid embarrassment, please make sure that all players are aware of the dress code.  We would appreciate if all players would use our changing room facilities provided, and avoid changing their shirts and shoes in the car park.

Loss, Injury or Damage 

Whitefield’s Golf Club/Draycote Hotel will not accept any liability for injury, loss or damage whatsoever caused to any member of the part or to clothing, equipment, money, valuable or any other articles and also in respect of their vehicles and contents which are parked at the owners risk.

Other Services 

We can provide other services including registration desk, presentation table, checking of scores upon completion, group tuition, and video analysis and putting competitions.
