Golf fans who watch the sport on the television will have noticed a coloured line following the ball flight of a shot, this innovative ball-tracking technology is now accessible to all ages and abilities at Whitefields Golf Course, Rugby.
Toptracer Range works by cameras tracking the ball and delivering graphics on-screen. All players will need to do is download the app, scan the QR code on the TV screen in the bay and everything is ready to play. Games include nearest the pin, longest drives, or players can tee up on an ever-increasing number of famous golf courses including Old Course in St. Andrews.
It also provides instant shot replays and statistical feedback, including distance (carry and total), ball speed, launch angle, height and offline dispersion.
Whitefields Golf Club is the first place in Warwickshire to have installed the new technology, which you can use solo to practice your all-round game or with friends and family for a competition.
David Mills, director of golf, comments: “It’s an exciting time for Whitefields Golf Course with a significant investment into the development of the driving range, and we’re delighted to be the first club in Warwickshire to have this technology. We have a a new bar menu and drinks offers which can be enjoyed whilst on the driving range. We’re looking forward to welcoming guests to enjoy Toptracer”.
